Question about 1997 Audi A4
If the problem happens only when engine is cold, check air intake, AIF , MAF and vacuum.
If it happens under all conditions, check fuel pump, distribution, O2 sensor.
Doing a scan with an OBDII code reader will probably return fault codes that may help.
