The vibration is probably caused by warped brake rotors,if you hear metal grinding ,you brake pads are gone and the metal pad backing is scoring the rotors, when you apply the brakes, does your brake pedal vibrate-if so it would be the front rotors-have brakes checked before more damaged is caused

whos checking your brakes? you need to have them checked by a ASE brake certified mechanic and you will never have that problem.
Also have them check the wheel bearings, could be dry and going away will also cause the grinding sound but that wont set the brake light on... take it to a reputable shop and they will find your problem.

My husband changed out the wheel bearing on the front passenger side a few months back. Now a few days ago there is a grinding noise whe we turn left or put pressure on the brakes. He was told it could be...

If the bearing was bad or he did a bad job, then the wheel should be lose and you would feel it shimmy or vibrate.

If he is very careful he can jack up the car so that tire comes off the ground, then try and move the wheel from side to side, top and bottom play and in and out, there should not be any looseness or play. If there is this might be the problem.

But if not, then it's the CV. A grinding noise while turning is almost 95 percent a CV joint problem.

My car is making an awful groaning grinding noise noise when it starts. The noise stops after it starts. Put my foot on the brake it starts again. put thr car in reverse no problem put it in,drive it...

It's your exhaust mounts or broken exhaust bolts. It does it in drive st idle n under load because the motor is sitting in rubber mounts made to dampen vibration. Therefore the motor tilts to the left in reverse pulling the exhaust away from your under carraige, and to the right in drive causing the loose exhaust to vibrate against something. Check your heat shields also. They fall apart n do the same noise. Piece of cake.

Check the front engine mount..If its bad it could make a noise while turning or reverse..Hold the car in gear with your foot on the brake and carefully raise the engine ..do it in both reverse or forward and look for excessive movement..

Grinding sound ? May be worn brake pads, down to the metal against the rotors. Vibration, could be a warped rotor, wheels not balanced, worn outter tie rods. The ABS light will come on if the tooth ring is broken, giving you a pulsing pedal. That is what the ABS does.

Are you getting a vibration in the steering wheel as you are braking or pulsing at a slow speed just before the car comes to a stop? The clunking could be slack in a tie rod that is audible as a result of a warped brake rotor. It wouldn't be a bad idea to check the lug nuts to be sure they are tight..I hope this helps.

Brakes grind all the time, abs vibrates when at a complete stop

I would take it in to a shop and have a free brake inspection done. They will give you a list of things wrong , and you can go from there.
