SOURCE: 2000 mazda bogging in all gears especially in 1st and 2nd gears ?
Judging from what i know, the timing on the engine is probably a bit off, and i remember reading the exact same problem on another web site and that is also what they said. So just check the timing on the engine or have it checked by a mechanic if you don't know how to do it.

Sounds like your final drive pin in your differential broke causing the main spider pin to tear through the case.Catastropic damage.Check for severe fluid leak under car.If no signs of leaks, check dipstick for greyish blk colored fluid. If this is the case you will need to replace transaxle & flush trans cooler.hope this helps

Sounds like a bad countershaft bearing. The trans will need removed and disassembled to fix it.
SOURCE: VW GOLF 1.4 1999 S. Gearbox makes whining sound at idle
No good news on this one I think
Your whining sound problem is the Layshaft bearings in the gearbox are
badly worn. It also seems that the baulk rings are damaged on 5th gear.

SOURCE: 1998 Saturn SC1 manuel stick is hard to shift into 1st & 2nd gear
Try to double clutch the clutch
pedal. How to double clutch; push the clutch in moving the stick to neutral,
then release the clutch and then push it back in and shift into first or second
gear. If it works then it is not the
shift linkage and could be a clutch adjustment.
First how far do you have to release the clutch pedal until the clutch plate
starts to engage? If only an inch or so the clutch pedal needs to be adjusted,
which is an easy fix (this is more common). The other possible problems could
be the clutch plate, throwout bearing of syncros could be bad. If it is one of
the previous problems double clutching should buy you some time.
