You will need to get the clutch hydraulic system repaired before the clutch can be successfully disengaged.
Meanwhile, try rocking the vehicle backward/forward while shifting gearlever out of gear to get it into neutral.

Manual transmission stuck in 1st gear

Check for leakage from the master cylinder it hooks to the clutch pedal .If oil is getting out then air is getting in as a matter of fact check the fluid level and the rest of the system for leaks .The clutch is most likely the problem and I mean AIR in it
Unless you have having problems shifting before .Problems like don't happen over night with a transmission its a progression over time and their are signs like hard to shift gears grinding that sort of thing .
Check the clutch system first.

Manual transmission hard to shift gears on 1991 rodeo

old car, old post, why not.? Wow it even runs this old, shock !
m/T questions, dah STICK shift.
the clutch is dragging.!
some engines (size) have hydr. and others cable. I cant guess this.

step one is to make sure the free play in the clutch pedal is ok.
  • Cable clutch actuator.
  • hydr. clutch actuator, is auto adjusting.
in this case make sure the slave cylinder moves the slave clutch rod
3/4 to 1" if not, the slave or MC to it are bad.
all answers USA answers, not stated, by you.

2.6L is hyrd. clutch link
so is 3.2L engine. i dont have data on all engine used world wide.
IF hydra. linkages. is the MC dry, (clutch master cylinder)
is the slave leaking fluid. , bingo 2.
is the MC leaking from front or rear side? bingo 3

here is a link to the 3.2 slave

look same place but add , what engine you really have.

I have a 95 manual 5 speed gmc 2500, shifter is stuck in 1st, I cant put it in any other gear or neutral. I cant figure it out.

Under the hood by the brake fluid reservoir there should be another small reservoir that has a cap on it, this is called a slave-cylinder. If it is dry on fluid it will not release the clutch when you press on the clutch pedal and makes it very hard to get out of gear, especially if you are sitting on a hill. Make sure it is full of fluid( uses brake fluid). If this don't work rock the truck back and forth to take pressure off of transmission while trying to take out of gear.( may need a helper for this) If that doesn't do it you may have an internal problem with the synchronization inside the transmission.

I have an Isuzu Rodeo 1998 2.2L manual transmision. There is a disturbing noise while driving in a 3rd gear. It is hard to make a shift into the 2nd gear & 3rd gear. What is the problem?

This sounds like the syncros are going out but you may have a clutch on it's way out as well. This might also have a clutch resivoir under the hood like and near the brake fluid resivoir. Check the fluid level. If it was low you may need to bleed the clutch like brakes. That is hard for me to tell you how unless I am there. It is not at all difficult but ask around on here if it comes to that. I hope this helps, The Raz

Vehicle wont go into gear as if there is no clutch

There is no clutch or you have no hydraulic fluid for your clutch and will need to be refill the clutch master cylinder and repair where the leak is coming from. Good luck and hope you get your Rodeo running again soon.

Hard to shift 5 speed manual speed transmission on 1995 rodeo

pending on the type of clutch in the vehicle, you may be low on clutch fluid. (if your clutch is hydraulic)
other than that it is most likely the entire clutch itself.
