Question about 2004 Ford Excursion

1 Answer

I have a 2003 Ford Excursion and my trip computer stopped working. I am starting by looking for a blown fuse. However I have looked in the owners manual and there is no reference to which fuse this could be. Any help would be great.

Have to look in your owners manual-- if you have one

You can buy them from Helm.Com -- not cheap

No manual--- you check all vehicle fuses

FUSES DO NOT CAUSE OR FIX ANY PROBLEM

If you find a blown fuse, you go to wiring diagrams, &
diagnose that circuit, the fuse blows for a reason.

Where is the fuse for a 2003 Ford Focus Power Windows located?

The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To ease your search the windows fuse it should be around 30 amps.

2002 ford excursion horn stopped working

The first step would be to check the fuse-box for a blown fuse associated with the circuit the horn is on. The fuse box can be accessed on the driver's side under the steering wheel. If this does not help, come back to FixYa, and I will be glad to be of further assistance.

Will my car still start if it has a blown alternator fuse but a brand new battery?

should. unless that fuse also runs something else that is critical to the engine starting or running then it should start right up if the battery is fully charged. How long it will run like that is another matter though.

Trip computer not working!

There are only two possible ways to fix this. First, is the reset button stuck? If so, loosen it up. Second, if the reset button is ok, then the only fix is to replace the instrument cluster. And this has to be done at the dealer, because it has to be programmed. I hope your button is stuck! That is, if you're really that concerned about the trip odometer.
