2001 Chevy impala started the night before morning it started running rough died it would ed start fuel pump ok try starting it Nothing but smell gas what could be wrong?

if your smelling gas then it sounds like an ignition problem or timing, could be something in the distributor, coil, or plugs worn out. if this has the corvette motor in it with the distributor mounted at the front of the motor behind the water pump they are known for distributor problems.

Suzuki grand vitara three door, Why does the filler cap draw in air when removed on my 2010 vitara

Check for Evap System Codes

The fuel tank should most likely have about
1 or 2 lbs of pressure & only when the computer
runs a test, does the evap purge valve by the
engine open, to draw out fuel fumes to be burned
in the motor,so NO Vacuum or Pressure at the cap
when the car is off

I would guess the vent valve solenoid is a possible issue,
if you can not fill the tank without the pump nozzle kicking off,
or the fuel tank pressure valve is bad

Have to have ALL of the Evap System Components tested
& the system Smoke Tested

I do not know if any of those items can be controlled with a
scan tool, asian vehicles do not provide all the data features
as we have on say GM Ford & Chry

How to check and or replace evaporator core on2001 monte carlo?

To check it you need to pressurize the system run the compressor and then you can spray soapy water around it and see if you have a leak If you decide to replace the evap core for the ac be sure to replace the dryer as soon as you open the lines it will start to draw moisture and then the new system will fail or not put out cool air correctly. Unless you absolutely have to change the evap for the ac I suggest you leave it alone unless you have done this before or have someone to work with that know ac.

What is the work of evap solenoid

There are several on any Evap System

Some check fuel tank pressure or vacuum, others
open to vent when you fuel the vehicle, some divert
fumes thru the charcoal canister & the one by the engine
opens to draw the fumes into the engine to be burnt.

Need the evap code for starters

03 thunderbird coil replacement?

Do you know which one you need to replace ? The reason I ask is because there is a cover over the coils on top of the valve cover. If the coil is on the left hand side (cylinerds 5,6,7 & 8) there is an evap purge soloniod type thin that needs to be removed in oreder to remove the cover to get to the coils. Below is a picture of the cover on top of the valve cover that needs to be removed in order to have access to each coil. When you get to the point of which one to replace, there is 1 bolt holding in on. Once the bolt is removed just pull it out. It has a boot on it that goes over the spark plug. Also when puting the cover back on make sure it is good and clean and put a small amount of silicone in order to keep the moisture out. Hope this helps......

Feul will burp mout of the filler cap no mater how slow I fill the car and the service engine soon light is on, how do I change the feul tank filler vent check valve?

Hi, your EVAP vent valve is likely stuck closed. The valve is under the car near the fuel tank. Remove the valve and check to see if it's stuck. You may be able to restore operation by cleaning the valve with carb cleaner. The valve should be open when no voltage is applied. I have pasted instructions below from autozone.com. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
jturcotte_1546.gif Vent Solenoid Valve
2.2L & 2.4L Engines

  1. Raise the vehicle
  2. Loosen the EVAP canister vent valve hose clamp and slide the clamp down the hose away from the EVAP vent valve hose connection.
  3. Remove the hose from the EVAP canister vent valve.
  4. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve by placing a pry bar between the valve and mounting surface, and moving the valve forward.
  5. Remove the clip from the EVAP canister vent valve harness connector
  6. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent valve harness connector.

To install:
  1. Connect the EVAP canister vent valve harness connector
  2. Install the clip into the EVAP canister vent valve harness connector.
  3. Install the EVAP canister vent valve by pushing the mounts into the original holes.
  4. Lubricate the hose end with lubricant.
  5. Install the hose to the EVAP canister vent valve.
  6. Slide the EVAP canister vent valve hose clamp down on to the hose connection at the EVAP canister vent valve.
  7. Lower the vehicle.

If you can remove it by the bottom without damaging anything then that is the way to go. Lots of repair manuals will show you how to do a repair even when there is an easier way. They show the way that is recommended by manufactures.

How to remove a\c evap coil from 2001 isuzu rodeo

You can try accessing it from behind the glovebox assembly, depending on the engine/trim combination you have, but you may have to pull the dash out, after evacuating the system with an A/C Recovery system. The Evap coil is located against the interior side of the firewall.

The glove box should come out by removing the two retaining plugs at the interior side of the box assembly, and then the frame screws along the top.

Po446 evap vent code where is the evap vent located

Some might have an ses p0446, evap emissions vent circuit low. If you take it to the dealer they want 300-400.00 to fix the problem. GM has a service bulletin on this condition and have the updated part for 180.00, thats suppose to eliminate this issue.

Basically the problem is, the evap purge vent valve gets clogged with dirt, especially if the truck is used in dirty conditions. Well I figured there had to be a cheaper way to cure this problem.

Here it is:
1) find the location of the vent valve; its under the truck, locate the charcoal canister on the front of the gas tank and trace the vent line to the vent valve.
2) Take the bracket loose with a 5/8 wrench.
3) Spin the valve around so the side with the hole is facing you.
4) Take an air compressor and blow the vent valve out.
5) reinstall and clear the code and it's fixed.

Now I know the updated part from gm is supposed to keep the valve from clogging ever again, but why spend the money when all you have to do is blow out the vent valve every 50k-100kmi and save your $$$!

I need to know how to remove the evaporator coil on a 2000 dodge grand caravan. i have already removed the dash and all the duct work but i dont see how to get the box out that contains the heater core and...

Woo hoo i finally did it. To remove the a/c-heater housing unit you have to remove the dash, the duct work, and all the metal framework behind the dash. Its a lot of parts and it takes time but its doable. Just be careful and make sure you pay attention or label everything. Once you get the housing unit out, its cake from there. Just take all the screws surrounding the blower motor and then it will reveal more screws. So continue to take screws out and the top will come off. Then there it is, remove the evaporator coil and remove the expansion valve and place on the new evap coil and installation is reverse of removal. Thanks for help and this is cool I solved my own problem.
