Question about 2000 Buick Park Avenue
I have a 2000 Buick Park Avenue. Today when I drove home from work I noticed a squeal coming from the engine compartment when I was pulling into my parking space. I let the care run idle and opened the hood, and the sound seemed to be coming from the belt area. I started the A/C while it was running at idle, and the squeal stopped. I then turned off the a/c and revved up the RPMs to about 3k and the squeal started again. I again turned on the a/c and it stopped.
Any ideas what is wrong? I though it might be the tension pulley, but the a/c bit has me confused. Help!
Yes the tension needs to be adjusted or they sell belt dressing to spray on at the auto parts store
