??? You purchased new? How many miles?

Brakes on modern vehicles should get in excess of 60K miles is my experience, not an annual expense.

Suggest you rotate tires on regular interval per owners manual, usually somewhere in 6k to 12K range. Inspect the brakes at that point.

What rear brake backing plates can i put in a 1956 ford f100?

check around as some sedans have the same rear brake setups as the f100. Cruise the wreckers (ford specialists) with your backing plate and find a backing plate same as yours from any sedan around the same year as yours.. Brake capacity is calculated on vehicle weight and as manufacturers are reluctant to spend money on developing new brake systems they tend to use the same parts on as many different models as possible.. Another thought car manufacturers use brake systems built by brake specialists like Bendix and Ferrodo and others so check other makes (dodge, chrylser even the chev range for a possible match of brake assemblies in that year.

Premature rear brakerotor failure

I have never had that issue in 50 years of doing brake work

You were given the dealership Dog & Pony Show as always

When you get a new vehicle the brakes are assembled dry at
the factory & rust on the train or car carrier

Like other vehicle parts they have to come apart, rust removed
& lube applied to all sliding surfaces & done at least once a year
on all vehicles

The same thing for spark plugs & trans fluid

30 days after you get it, you pull the plugs to gap them
& put anti-seize on them & change trans fluid to remove
the normal wear of bushings & debris you get when new

I have a 2007 nissan altima, and i have to put brake fluid in it about every week or two. i checked the master cylinder and i saw no fluid that had leaked out around the tubes or no drips anywhere around...

The leak may be in the brake lines or near the breaks itself. I would recommend that the car be brought to the shop if you do not see any leaks on the items I have mentioned to avoid accidents.

The 4x4 sytem is smarter than you think. It will adjust it's self for slip conditions and knows when you are in 4x4.

Trust all of my eggheads in Detroit, the know what they are doing most of the time. LOL
