the brushes on the fuel sender were out and cross over onto one or more points this will give you a bad reading or even no reading. can also cause a wave on the gauge.

SOURCE: hand brake nissan pathfinder

If you lift the hand brake you should find an adjustment nut (I think it is 10MM). Tighten that and you should be good to go. Be careful, it doesn't take much to adjust - turn gradually/slowly.

i hope i was able to help you with your problem! tc!

there are several possible reasons why it would cutout. Problems with fuel pump, ckp or cmp sensors, poor connections. Better have it checked with scan tool.

05 nissan pathfinder lack of power, catalytic low flow bank 2

Have you checked fuel pressure at idle and 3k TO 4K RPMS? I once took a crown vic to a local dealer, wanted $1500 for new cats. I did a fuel pressure test, 15 lbs at idle, 0-5 at 3K RPMS and went to 0 lbs. when punched accelerator. Was a $6 fuel filter.
