Question about 1992 Pontiac Bonneville

Engine pulsing in my 92 bonneville

I cleaned my injecters and now my engine pulses through all the gears and have a loss of power. would this be magnetic sensors or something else.

pulse? what mileage does the engine have? you can expect the injection pump (injection distributer/dose controller) to fail at approx 200k miles/300k kilometers, some sooner some later. then you need a reworked ZEXEL VRX injection pump and have it installed/adjusted by an expert, because it is a ROM programmed unit.

Turns over but wont start i got fire and fuel to the fuel rail but the injecters are not delivering fuel any ideas whats wronge


sounds like u got no injector pulse comin from ecm.we need to pull ecm codes an review them ,possible camshaft sensors faulty they usually provide reference pulses to ecm for injector firing or pulse.without this pulse ur injectors will never open up to let fuel enter combustion chamber. one way of checking pulse is to connect a noid light(small light bulb that plugs in injector pigtail to chek for power to injector and ur pulsing ground coming from ecm to injector) an test for a blinking light while cranking engine.

Honda P0370 - Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Malfunction.

The optical sensor provides a high resolution signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) by counting pulses on the sensor disk located in the injection pump. The high resolution is one of the most important inputs by the PCM for fuel control and timing. This test monitors the number of high resolution pulses which have been missed (not detected). It's based on a comparison between the number of pulses that were detected since the last pump cam pulse and the number of the pulses that should have occurred. There are approximately 64 high resolution pulses for every cam pulse.

Possible Causes:
- Open or short in the optical sensor circuit
- Optical sensor connector
- Damaged optical sensor
- Damaged PCM
- Damaged ECM

Possible Solutions:
- If damaged repair the optical sensor circuit
- Replace optical sensor
- Replace PCM
- Replace ECM

Not sure where you got incorrect gear ratio. This P0370 DTC is for what I have listed above.

P1529 - MIL light request

P0722 - Transmission Pulse Generator B. The Pulse Generator detects the revolution of the idler gear parking pawl lock gear and emits a pulse signal. The pulse signal is sent to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) which converts it into vehicle speed. The code is detected when the Pulse Generator B failed to provide a signal to the TCM upon initial movement of vehicle.

Symptoms:
- Engine Light On (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Speedometer improper reading
- Possible shifting problems

Possible Causes:
- Pulse Generator B harness or connectors
- Pulse Generator B circuit is open or shorted
- Pulse Generator B

Why can't I get spart. Don't have injector pulse.


Loss of injection pulses usually means a loss of an engine timing signal or even the security pack preventing the vehicle from starting.
You need to check all the timing signals, crank angle sensors, cam angle sensors etc and ensure that any security is disabled or turned off.
Check for spark, if you have spark but not injection pulses, then its a timing signal issue. If you dont have spark or injection pulses, also check the ECU (the cars computer) although I do not know of any issues with this make and model.

Has all power and still wont start it has a spark it is a 2.5 4 cylinder 1996 the spark is wite i checked the timming could it be the crank positioner


Check the timing belt they are known to loose teeth and slip when old I've seen them be in perfect timing on the wrong cylinder! 80k /belt

My 1990 Chevy Celebrity wagon 3.1 multiport fuel injection is getting fuel to the rack at 45psi, but is not going through the injectors. Any idea the probable cause?


DO YOU HAVE 12 VOLTS ON INJECTOR WIRE ON ONE SIDE WITH KEY ON? IF SO ARE YOU GETTING SPARK? IF YOU HAVE NEITHER YOU MAY NEED A NEW CRANK SENSOR. VERY COMMON ON THIS ENGINE WHEN THERE IS A LOSS OF SPARK AND INJECTOR PULSE. INJECTOR PULSE(GROUND SIDE)IS CONTROLLED BY THE COMPUTER. IF YOU HAVE SPARK BUT NO INJECTOR PULSE AND 12 VOLTS ON INJECTOR FEED WIRE YOU MAY HAVE A FAUTY ECM(ENGINE COMPUTER)

No injection pulse


looking at the schematics, well the PCM controls the pulse width to the injectors , BUT , there is a injector coil fuse , its #2 in your kick panel fuse box , a 20 amp , check it , sure hope that fix ya . that would be sweet .
