Yes and no i would check the fuse and replace if needed but it sounds like the air ride has a hole in the bag or the leveling valvle is gone out

Does a 2001 buick lesabre have shocks ? if so how much does it cost to replace?

Ok first of all your car has shocks in the rear and they are not very hard to replace or terribly expensive. The front has what they call struts which in effect are shocks with a springs wrapped around them as an assembly. Replacing struts can be expensive and will probably need to be changed by a shop if you are not equipped to do it yourself. You will most likely need to get the wheels aligned as well. I recommend calling around to different shops for a price. My guess for new front struts installed plus the alignment is $300-$400.

What kind of rear struts do i need if i want to tow with a 99 buick lesabre?

Here's my tip.... Your springs are what holds the vehicle up, the shock absorbers or struts are to stop it bouncing. Sounds to me like your springs are too soft and cannot hold up the load you are trying to carry.

What is dynaride?

Dynaride means that your rear shocks have electronic level control. There is a sensor mounted to the rear suspension. If you add some luggage or persons to the car the rear lowers. The sensor senses this down movement and starts the air compressor which is mounted in under the hood (left fender area). This compressor pumps air into the rear shocks compensating the additional load, so the car remains at proper level all the time. If you start the engine with a delay of about 20 secs the compressor should run for a view seconds to build up the minimal pressure the system needs. If the engine is stopped also with some delay of 30 sec. the release valve opens to vent out all the air.

What kind of STRUTS do I need for my LeSabre that's a DYNARIDE ???

Hello: You might can get the original equipment struts from the Buick Dealer but they will be expensive if they are available. Auto manufacturers are only required to provide parts for 10 years. A good aftermarket shook would probably be fine.

My buick Lesabre drags in the rear I can't put any weight in the back and it drags. I was wondering what Dynaride means? I thought maybe it had air shocks but I have been told no. It is a 1998 in mint...

I would definitely try some different shocks. That is most likely your problem. Springs could do this but only if the where broken or loose. Usually always the shocks.

If you're replacing the springs as well, you can put regular shocks/struts in. The springs on that car didn't offer full support as they were designed to work in conjunction with the support from the air struts also. Just make sure the new springs are specified for a car without air ride. You will also need to remove the fuse/relay for the air ride compressor because the veh. goes through a "air pressure replenishment" cycle every time the key is turned to run. The compressor will then run for 7 minutes until it times out when it determines that it isn't doing anything to ride height.

Yes there are struts on the front and shocks on the back. 2 of each. They are around $50-100 for the fronts. $30-100 for the rears depending if the car has air ride or not.
