The circuit breaker for the headlights is built into the headlight switch.
Did you check the dimmer switch for power ?

Both headlights went out at the same time ? i still have side lights, spots and main beam

Depending on the year and model Ford, there could be fuses for the headlights, or a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch.
The dimmer switch could have failed.

My 91' 5th after the headlights are on for awhile they shut off. They will come back on after "resting" . How do I change the dimmer switch

Its probably the circuit breaker inside the headlight switch.
The dimmer switch is part of the turn signal switch.

Headlights wont stop going up and down what is causing this?

On my 89 Accord there is a switch button that will raise and lower the headlights. The location is the 1st button switch to the right of the steering column and has a light symbol above. The rear window defrost switch is with this 3 button cluster.

Why wont my 1990 chevy cavalier turn over all the dash lights work but wen u go to turn it over theres nothin

Hi, the problem could be with your safety interlock. You can test this by pulling the connector off the switch and jumping the terminals of the purple and yellow wires together using a paper clip. The switch is on the transmission as shown below. If this is not the problem, please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6222268-engine_doesnt_crank_turn_over for additional troubleshooting ideas, and let me know if you have any questions.

2001 GMC Sierra headlights won't come on. Located 3 each 10Amp fuses that were blown and replaced them, however, headlights didn't come on.

what fuses were blown and replaced? Theres a TBC fuse under the hood, along with a Headlamp Relay. Theres a R HDLP and LT HDLP fuses, make sure they are getting power, and are good. If the LT HDLP and RT HDLP fuses are good AND getting power, then the TBC fuse and the relay is good. then I would suspect the Hi-Lo dimmer switch bad. The LOW beam ground wire is YELLOW, the high beam ground is PURPLE. see if high beams work, if they do, then I suspect the dimmer switch is bad.

Auto and manuel switch for the headlights

just use them on manual, sounds like a whole lot of cash to fix.i took one of these for its inspection last week and not impressed ,as steering is a box and not rack and pinion and it was wandering ,so ancient to drive compared to a range rover and as for the hand brake ?? a handbrake should lock up the back wheels at 30mph or so i was taught 40 yrs ago,Well as for petrol consumption it needed a bigger tank to go more than 200 miles i think ,it just drank it the only one that likes this sort of thing are the oil producers. Not impressed at all with it ,big ,gross and thirsty but it was comfy
