My interior light fuse keeps blowing on my 1983 Lincoln continental mark 6

Your car has quite a few things tied into that circuit. I believe it's a 15 amp fuse you are referring to. that is what that circuit is calling for.
I feeds into the headlight switch where it then runs the dash lights, auto delay exit light. Power door locks, illuminated entry module, LT and RT door switches, door lights, lights under seats, glove box light, engine compartment light, trunk light, lights on warning chime, antitheft system, clock(analogue dash only), radio, cigarette lighter lights and courtesy light switch.
Light bulbs can cause fuses to blow. If the fuse blows imediately you have a dead short somewhere. You can buy a circuit breaker to put in place of the fuse and it will take longer to blow than the fuse unless it is a serious short. I would first suspect a bulb. Start removing them 1 X 1 starting with the dome light. Note: also try putting the dome light switch in different positions, the cigarette lighters, remove them. All the bulbs you have easy access to, remove and reinstall if the problem is still there.
You can only go so far before it is going to take a professional to solve the problem. Electrical problems are among the more difficult for an untrained person to diagnose and fix. You can deal with the obvious and simple things, but you can actually do more harm then help if you start digging without knowing what you are doing. EVEN POOR GROUNDING OF A CIRCUIT CAN CAUSE HIGH RESISTANCE AND CAUSE A FUSE TO BLOW.
I hope I have given you some understanding of what is going on. Your car is one of the more complex ones to works on in certain areas.

1999 corolla cigarette lighter does not work. Looked in the owners manual and the same fuse controls the clock. Since the clock works it can not be the fuse.

I don't have the owner's manual, but I do have the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. According to the wiring diagrams, the information that you have is not correct. The cigarette lighter circuit is protected by the "CIG" fuse in the Instrument Panel Junction Box behind the left side of the dash at the lower finish panel. It is a 15 Amp fuse. The clock circuit is protected by the "DOME" fuse in the Engine Room Junction Block on the left side of the engine compartment.

Door and visor lights will not come on,is it a fuse? I lost my owners manual

Fuse #21 is a 15A that covers the interior lights, cigarette lighter, and clock. Are those other items also not working? If so, it is very likely the fuse. If you're connecting something like a cell-phone charger to the cig lighter port, that might be causing a short to blow the fuse...

I have a 2002 cadillac seville, the interior lights on the doors radio do not work could the dimmer switch be bad

Check fuse in fuse box labeled 'DOME'. A bad cigarette lighter is usually what makes the fuse blow to begin with.

I keep blowing fuses on my 1989 acura ledgend

What circuit? Check the owners manual and see what all is powered by the circuit that blows. For example - the dome light and cigarette lighter could be powered by the same fuse. A dirty element on the lighter could cause cause shorting that would blow the fuse and put the dome light out. The symptom that you notice might not be the cause. You could also have a wire that has damaged insulation that is shorting to ground and blowing fuses. Faulty or worn parts could cause blown fuses.

According to my info, each of these items has its own fuse. ARe you saying 1 fuse keeps blowing?

If a fuse blows, it means a wire is shorted to ground or that an item the fuse is protecting, is bad.

A good way to diagnose this, is to place a 12 volt buzzer or bulb in place of the fuse that keeps blowing. This will give you a light or buzz noise. Then, you disconnect times or wire connectors until the noise stops or the light goes out. Then investiagte that circuit.

Radio does not turn on. the clock shows, the light

The memory wire of the radio,(the power for the clock and channel settings) is usually connected to the same circuit as the cigarette lighter. (there is a seperate fuse for radio) Check your cigarette lighter socket for damage or dirt, etc. could be causing the memory fuse to blow. Also check your cig lighter accesories (like cell phone chargers, etc.)

P.S. The backlight is also a seperate circuit (connected to interior light/parking light circuit)
