I PURCHASED A NEW X3 A YEAR AGO AND SINCE I LEFT THE SHOW ROOM THAT DAY HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM BMW BUT BMW IS ALWAYS OFFERING US HOLIDAYS AND SO ON IF ONE PURCHASES A NEW BMW, JUST SAYING. OBVIOUSLY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT BMW
Go back to where you purchased it from and ask the question? if no help dont but another bmw i would not buy a bmw overated car

replacing the complete lock set with the EWS control unit can be expensive as the control unit will also need to be programed and/or encoded, however if the lost keys cannot be found and you are sure they cannot be used to steel you car you can just order replacement keys from your local bmw dealer. hope this is of some help. You will also nead to disable the lost keys if you order replacements rather than a complete set.

Hello There.
These come on as a precousionary measures, even if there is a slight misfire in the engine it generates a code which can be read and inform you why it is there, most of the time these are minor things and light can be reset. The only time you need to get seriously worried is when the letters 'eml' light up with the engine light, then you have a serious problem.
