Transmission Pressure Control Solenoid replacement 99 SL1 SaturnFans com... Best that I could find. A factory service manual is what you need, but I couldn't find one. Maybe this site will help.

Few vehicle manufacturers produce their own auto trannies but tend to buy them in from specialists, ZF, AP, Borg Warner, etc.

Vehicle manufacturers tend not to publish much information about the auto trannies they use but find out the origins of yours and apply to the manufacturer and you should discover lots of information.

99 saturn sc1 X frame interchange with with other models

Look up the Platform letter of the car, any other Saturn that uses the same Platform will likely bolt in. Here is an example of a platform letter, a 1990 Mustang is "F" body platform. A 1989 Olds Cutlass is a "G" and so on. Sorry I don't know Saturn's, but if you google it I'm sure you can locate the info.

97 SATURN SC1, WONT GO INTO REVERSE AND GOES VERY SLOW

Transmission is not junk. You need to replace the valve body with a rebuilt one. The cause of reverse not working is because the booster valve cannot create sufficient pressure to get into reverse (reverse requires the most pressure). The booster valve is worn down and the valve body needs to be replaced, rebuilt is the way to go. This is from not changing the fluid and filter every 20,000 -- 30,000 miles to keep gunk from building up and wearing down the valve.

The transmission is fine, don't let anyone talk you into putting another one in, especially for thousands of dollars, NOT THE PROBLEM.

Will a 95 saturn 1.9 manual transmission bolt to a 98 saturn 1.9 automatic transmission?

This is the automotive equivalent of a ***-change operation. In short, dont do it...
The problem you have is not if the tranny will fit (which it won't as a direct bolt-in replacement), the problem is in everything else that needs to be moded. Your engines computer is not programed to recognize or work with a manual tranny. You would need to modify the console to accept a manual shifter, install a clutch and clutch pedal assembly, plumb the needed fluid systems, and replace the entire wiring harness in the engine bay. In short, if you are asking - this won't go well and even if it did work, the car would not be reliable. By the time you spend everything involved in this project, it would be much cheaper to buy a 95 or 98 Saturn with the transmission that you prefer.
