Take it to another place,,, I went to autozone and they told me mine was'nt working then i went to advanced auto parts and it worked there,,, I need an o2 sensor and a new gas cap.... the man @ autozone didn't know how to use the sccanner.... If you take it to another place and they say it's not working, the dealer might have to do it.... and if that doesn't work then you have a electric problem somewhere...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Check engine light

You must connect an ODB-II code reader to determine what codes are stored (which will also indicate what has failed in your car that caused the Check Engine light to illuminate). Once you have repaired the defects, the ODB-II code reader may be used to reset the stored code condition.

For under $20 on Amazon, you can buy an ODB-II scanner/reader that when connected has an option to reset all codes.

Can i get trouble codes w/out the ODB II on an 04 outback

Hi!

There a way by sticking a wire with light and that tells you how many times the light flashed but I would really recommend that you use the OBD II which is totally free at any auto part store near to you. Good luck

Ml350 camshaft sensor problem

I think you need to post a little more information for someone to be of help. Cam Position Sensor and Crank Position Sensor problems are not uncommon on these cars (although you see more Crank Position Sensors go than Cam). Replacing them is not too difficult, if you have some mechanical skill. Just make sure your problem really is with the sensor before you start replacing parts. The sensors cost between $60 and $175 (depending on which and where you purchase it). If you have a specific code that you pulled from an ODB II reader, then start with that. If your check engine light is on, but you don't have an ODB II reader, then try your local parts store. Most will read codes for free.

I have a ODB II code reader giving p1763, p1762, p0303

Your right about the two codes. It's really a transmission part.
As soon as you open up the transmission pan, it right there.
f0d99d5.jpg But, I would leave this up to a transmission place. It may need a special type of calibration tool for the new sensor.

As for PO303, that is a missfire in cylinder #3

I hope I answered your question.
