Blower Assembly - Passenger Side

Note: RH-drive version shown below, LH-drive procedure is similar. Jaguar only provides the RH-drive procedure.

  • Disconnect battery earth lead.
  • Remove the right side dash liner.
  • Remove the footwell air duct.
  • Remove the pliable trunking retaining clip and displace the trunking.
  • Remove relays and harness from the blower mounting.
  • Disconnect the cable harness multi-plug.
  • Remove the bolts securing the motor assembly and remove the assembly.
  • Remove the gasket and trunking from the blower motor assembly and place the assembly aside.
NOTE:
  • Installation is the reverse of this procedure.
  • A new gasket should be used and the blower motor bolts should NOT be fully tightened until all connections are made.

Try these websites www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com if all fails stop by your local dealer in the parts department and ask them to print you off a diagram showing you where the motor goes.

Is there a blower motor relay or fuse on a 1995 Mazda Protege lx?

That fuse sounds like it powers the ac compressor.
The blower motor usually takes a 30 amp fuse.
Does the blower motor work if you hook it to direct voltage ?

Ac doesnt work

Check the grounding of the blower motor it's self. Gm had a small issue with the blower motor loosing it's ground. Run a test ground wire from the battery to the blower motor. If this doesn't help, replace motor.

Ac blower won't work. Resistor has been replaced 3 times. I think it is the problem now. Is it easy to replace? Where is it?

Blower motor resistors are found on the pasenger side ducts near the blower motor. It should have three wires going to it.
