Question about 2002 Nissan Altima
Nissan altima will not start, it will crank but not start. I repositioned the coil wire and it started but when i turned it off it would not start again. I replaced the cracked cap and worn rotor and also the plugs and wires. after i did that it started but when i turned it off it would not start again. it is getting plenty of spark and it has fuel.
OK...Some cars use a "prime" relay and a "run" relay on the fuel pump. since manually priming it seems to work, I'd check and see if you have a similar system. If so, the prime relay may be bad.

Well, I wouldn't pay attention to dealer suggestions crank and cam sensors don't make fuel pump go on but if its running (pump) but nothing is getting to injectors then it may be related. sensor triggers pulses. I can fix this stuff when it's in front of me but don't know the system well enough to give any better advise. If pump isn't coming on though, check relay and power to pump circuit.

Your fuel pump may not be pumping hard enough to the engine so thats why when u prime it your self it starts then while its running the fuel pump works at a slower pace so it stays running so try replacing the fuel pump, i hope this can help u out
