The car started to shake recenty when driving and not as bad when idling. the car has 130K on it. These are the things I know for sure that I need to change... The Air ratio Sensor needs to change sensor 1 Bank 1 and I need to change my cat convector.
my check engine light is on and I get the codes that specify that there is a misfire on : cylinder 2,4,6
I took it to my mechanic and he did all sorts of testing with the pressure between the back and front cylinders which are the same so he said its not a timing issue; he also test the plugs and the coils which he says are good because they spark/ignite
the only thing he did that made a difference is that he disconnected the Cam sensor and the car idle fines he then disconnected the Cam sensor then the battery and then plugged everything back and it work fine for a while but then it started doing the same thing... he doens't want to change anything before he knows for sure...

Major transmission problem. That's what the flashing Check Engine light means.
If the Check Engine light is on all the time, it means there is a "fault code" stored in the computer. Take it to an auto parts store (like Auto Zone) and ask them to read the codes to see what it says. They should do it for free. If they won't, go to another auto parts store.
correct thinking
the car has an onboard code reporting system that stores fault codes
have the fault codes read and that will point you to the fault area
all the suggested are not correct because you say that it idles
i'm thinking a faulty brake booster or other serious vacuum leak
First question is - is the check engine light on ? If so you need to start with the trouble codes in the computer. Could be a faulty injector or coil among other things. You should have a codes for which cylinder is not firing and other possible problems.
The cause is too low an idle and engine is starving for fuel so it shakes like that. The thumping sound you hear is most likely just the exhaust being too close to the floor amd bumping against it when in drive with brake on.You said yourself that it stops when you put it in nuetral, well the engine speed goes up when there's no stress on it.With some one holding the brake and it's sitting there thumping, set the idle speed up just enough to make the engine stop rocking that way.
your idling must very low thats why your car shakes..check the rpm gauge and refer to your vehicles manual on proper rpm when idle..bring to the mechanic to adjust the idling rpm
First step is to access the Engine Control Module (ECM) using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) memored. Even if engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) goes off after engine starting, it's possible to find out temporary DTC codes memored in the ECM. Then you will be full informed about bad components (e.g. bad heated oxygen sensor(s), cylinder(s) misfire(s), bad injector(s), bad ignition coil(s), ... etc). Therefore you will be able to repair & replace bad components and reset the ECM. In the most cases when you smell something like rotten egg there are bad oxygen sensor(s).
Shakes how? While stopping? Or solely while idle, Engine light on?
If if shakes while stopping you need to check you're wheel hubs and or Suspension ,
Shakes at a light, You may have a bad fuel Injector, Check you're psi in you're fuel pump, A TPS would cause low idle or sometimes high idle, With low idle and a bad motor mount it would shake,
I know theres a few things I'm missing but,.. I have a major Headache atm so I'll get back to you with some more, when i can think better. :)
What do you mean by it "shakes & cuts out while driving"? The vehicle literally shakes, or just the engine shakes at an idle or while driving? and it cuts out when, at idle, driving? Let me know when specifically it has this problem, it might help me on giving you a better suggestion(s) on what problem(s) might be causing this.
Sounds like its missing on 1 or more cylinders. A check of the plugs and wires is in order, Could be a fouled plug or a loose/bad sparkplug wire. Best of luck.
Greg
The engine light also blinks sometimes...
I will try taking it to autozone.
