PRo start tc3471tw ,in a 98 jeep manual trans. I used remote to start jeep, one morning.


1998 no jeep actually stated, no car stated,wow.

2004 cadillac cts wont crank at all, i turn the key and try to start it but it doesn't crank or do anything just the dashboard light come on and the engine light flickers then it wont release the key


I had something similar happen on my 2004 CTS. The car would not crank, and I recall the security light was on the dash. The key could be turned off, but not quite far enough to be removed.
The key can be removed by sticking a small pin or screw driver in a hole under the steering column... maybe 2 inches from the actual steering wheel. I recall there is a small cover or plug in the hole that needs to be removed.
You can let it sit and occasionally try to start it. My did start once more.
I ended up having it towed to the GM dealer and they replaced the ECM for about $500? That took care of it for a couple years, until I recently sold it.

Without doing any actual testing, you won't know what is wrong without replacing a ton of parts. Get a chilton or haynes manual and a digital volt ohm meter and do the tests. At this point, I'd check the fuel pump and crankshaft sensor first as they are most common failures.

MY F250 POWER STROKE QUITE RUNNING IT WONT START


The 7.3 power stroke is not tha bad sheesh its actually pretty simple ok let me ask some questions here ok lets start simple when cranking does the needle on the tach move to approx. 5-600 ? if not more than likely its a cam sensor in which case there is actually a recall from ford they will fix it free.... yes I said free :) if not my second guess would be the Idm they were notorious for getting moisture in them btw IDM stands for injector driver module and you can find a good reman unit online for 200 "use google" if you have a friend with a high end scanner hook up and watch engine rpm there and also do a "buzz test" no buzz = idm fail another easy thing to do is open the drain on the fuel filter bowl and turn the key on and crank for 1 sec is there fuel shooting out ? if there isnt check fuel pump well that about covers it good luck please let us know whats up :)

I have the same problem with my bimmer.To find out if the fuel pump problem take fuel pump out and get something kinda nock on the pump put it back in and start the car. It will run but not 1 or 2 days it will die again. You know that mean.Replace the pump.

Car wont start. turns over but wont catch.


The fuel pumpmay have failed. Try having someone turn the key to the ON position while you listen under the car near the fuel tank for the fuel pumo to hum. If it does not, or it sounds like it is grinding, then it may have failed. A pressure test with a gauge would be need to check for proper pressure.

I recently replace the crank shift sensor, but


switch on your car but don't start it, let it stay in that position for a few minutes. after start your car, if starts without problems then your problem is your fuel pump. but if problem is still there then it could be your fuel filter or timing of your car.

1998 Volvo s70 won't start


it actually sounds crazy but a fuel pump. does just that. when you turn the key, you should hear the fuell pump run for 3-5 seconds and then shut off. However. if you do not . and want to see anyway. The pump is located in the tank so.... put down a rug, mat or something to kneel on and rap with a stick or a shoe pretty stiff on the fuel tank . then try to start it. if it starts its the fuel pump if not, do you have enough fuel?
in addition check the battery terminals for loose or even at the starter. all it takes is a little loose.

IS THE RED LIGHT THAT IS STAYING ON THE BATTERY LIGHT? IF SO IT COULD BE AN ELECTRICAL FAULT, AND IS NOT FIRING UP THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP
