Hi sussie,

have you checked if your fuel pump is working well?

such diagnosis is also needed as that is a possible cause of the issue.

please refer to the link below for more onfo.

HI. this is a failed fuel filter issue here. i recommend replacing the filter asap, if not do so already. I would also replace the air filter as well. this will improve the combustion rate in the cylinders.

***NOTE(while you are replacing the filter(fuel), Check the ground at the fuel pump. if the ground is corroded, replaced the wires and connectors asap).

sound like your flooding the intake of the fuel and the car just dies.
depending type of fuel system you have, what year, pumping system, linkage, fuel pump, fuel injection, manual fuel pump, electric fuel pump, carburetor system, ## amount of cylinders you have.

Car runs fine at times then will not start. Sprayed carb cleaner in air filter and then it starts but dies when i start. The next day car starts and runs fine.

It sounds like your car isn't getting the proper amount of gas. You say your mechanic changed the fuel pump and the regulator. Id have him run a diagnostic tool on it to see if it throws any other codes. Its getting fire. Try changing the FUEL FILTER. it maybe clogged. maybe the pressure regulator is not giving it enough pressure to push the gas into the engine or maybe the fuel pump is only working at times. Does it run good and then start to spit and spudder then die? if so its not getting gas some how. Idk if you can adjust the pressure regulator or not. i mostly work on old school cars.

Starts up but give it gas and it does not go or it dies

take it .it is a diesel.check your fuel filter.it will have a drain plug on the bottom of it.open it and drain a very small amount of water. from it .now pump up the fuel pump till it is hard .and get someone to turn your key .as you keep pumping .should then start.

sounds like the carb may have blocked jet(s), worn diaphram ,air leak ,incorrect fuel/air mixture any of these will cause your problem , have the carb overhauled

When i start up my car it starts and will stay running but will eventually die out, and if u step on the gas it dies right away

I would suggest Fuel issue...the car isn't getting the proper amount of fuel...you can try a cheap fix first and try and change the fuel filter...or it may be a fuel pump...those can be expensive..good luck

The problems you are describing sound like a classic case of your fuel pump going out. If you replace the fuel pump You should solve your problem. I hope this helps you out.

Every time i turn right the motor dies as soon as the steering wheel is straight the motor will kick in again, why does it do this?

are you sure you are not low on gas? sounds to me like you have a small amount of gas in the tank and when you turn right the gas in the tank is moving away from the gas pump which causes the motor to die..

Its a computer controlled motor so yes if one thing gives it a bad reading the cpu will try to counter the issue and give to much gas or not the right amount of air to the intake... Just from what i have happen to me I would look for a leaking vaccume line or a clogged cataltic converter befor replaceing the sensors both can give a false o2 reading on the computer and seem to be more common on most cars..
