Question about 2003 Chevrolet S-10
I have a 2003 4dr 4x4 s10 with a 4.3l. One night I came home as normal and shut it off, and when I went to it the next day it would not go. It rolls, then backfires, but will not run. I checked the plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, and the fuel pump runs when you turn the key on, and I smell fuel after it backfires. It almost sounds like the timing is slightly off. I have heard a crank sensor will do this. I am stumped as it worked perfect up to the point it would not start.
The check the fuel pressure at the engine, check the idle speed sensor and map sensor.
