Thanks very much! Does the inside (triangular) trim cover just pull off, or are there fasteners of some kind to be dealt with.

Thanks! Does that (triangular) inside trim cover just pull off, or are there fasteners that I need to deal with?

Jay, I can't thank you enuf. Took me 15 minutes, mostly because I had a little trouble with the electrical connector. But it's done!

The door panel needs to be removed to the trim cover for the mirror. Behind that trim cover there are three 10 mm nuts and the electrical connector to remove the mirror. Thanks Jay!

How to replace rear view mirror

Instructions
1

Disconnect your negative battery cable, if your Ford Focus has power side mirrors. If it has manual side mirrors, disconnecting the battery is unnecessary.

2

Pry off the wing mirror's inside sail panel (shaped like a triangle). Insert a trim panel tool between the door skin and the plastic panel to pry it off.

3

Carefully pull the sail panel away, minding the wiring if the mirror is power-operated. Unplug the electrical harness and set the panel aside.

4

Open the door and hold the outside part of the wing mirror steady. Remove the mounting bolt with a socket wrench, and then remove the mirror screw with a Phillips screwdriver (the mirror bolt and screw is visible with the panel removed).

5

Pull the wing mirror assembly from its mount (from the outside). Insert the replacement mirror assembly in place; tighten the bolt and the screw.

6

Attach the wiring connection to the replacement mirror. Position the sail panel in place and push it against the door to snap it back on.

Need instructions to remove and replace the manual remote controled outside drivers mirror on a 95 Chevrolet Caprice

Remove the door panel. Mirror is attached near door post usually with just a few screws. Electric screw motor attached to base of mirror. Be careful as mirror pops in and out and it breaks really easy

2008 Ford Fusion Wing Mirror Replacement

I checked Ford Focus mirror replacement and it seems to be the same. This is for the manual, unheated mirror.

Remove the mirror cover inside the door - slide a screwdriver behind the cover and pry loose carefully.

Remove the single 10mm bolt and the mirror comes free.
NB. Do not drop the bolt into the door.

Side View Mirror Wiring

Just try matching from the outside to the outside, middle to middle, etc. or use a continuity tester against each pair until the light up. Solder the wires, do not use wire nuts.

Help to Replace Driver AND Passenger Exterior Mirrors 02 Impala

I used google to do a search for this and typed in "instructions replace side mirror". There is a guide on e-bay that pops right up and it gives you pretty detailed instructions. They are not vehicle specific but should give you all the information that you need. The web page says How to replace a broken side mirror on your car-associated content. I hope this helps, it looked like it had plenty of great information.
