Buy some brake clean. spray a little in throttle body. if it starts and stalls you need a fuel pump or you lost power to the fuel pump. If nothing changes you may have a bad crank sensor or ignition issue.

Car turns over but doesn't start. 2004 Olds Alero, 2.2 engine. Getting 55 psi of gas at the check valve but spark plugs are dry though when inspected. We are able to put some gas in the manifold?...

hello, it sounds like you may not have injector pulse. You can check for voltage with a volt meter & check pulse with noid lights. Check the ecm Fuses, i think the ecm b fuse powers the injectors. make sure you are getting spark at the plugs. I hope this helps.

Car just died at stop sign. turns over but wont start. has spark and gas

From what you're describing unfortunately it sounds like it could very well be the timing belt. Until you remove a few bolts from the top timing cover and pull it back to see if it has broken DO NOT try starting the engine any more or you run the risk of serious and costly engine damage!! Start with this solution, and if this isn't it then re-post with more details and we'll go from there! Hope this helps!

My galant was stopped at a stop sign and just shut off it turns over but won't start how do I know of it is getting gas or not

You would have to have a fuel pressure gauge or install a gauge for it which isn't a bad idea.

Sounds like you might have an idle problem like with an IAC sensor, throttle position sensor or you may have a bad vapor/liquid separator valve in your tank. Is the tank mostly full when this happens?

Car stop running when stop at a red light try to restart only clicks, batt. is hotbut some of the eletrical are not working right, flasher for one.

almost sounds like you ran out of power, test the battery check all of your fuses, then if nothing check your alternator youre lacking power so track back to its source and work out from there, not a big task just time consuming

I have a Kia Rio 2004, I can't start it. It stopped on my at an intersection. It cranks but it won't turn over. I was thinking it was the battery, but I wasn't because a jump didn't get it to start. I was...

There are several things that can cause this. Worse case scenario, the timing belt broke and you are going to have one heck of a time getting everything repaired. Before you go pulling the fuel pump and everything, check your fuses, on the engine valve cover there may be a small circlular rubber plug you can remove, remove this and while looking at the hole have some one turn the engine over. If, while the engine is turning, you don't see the sprocket that is visible once you remove the plug turning STOP. The timing belt has broken. You will need to rebuild the engine at least partially and depending on what kind of damage was done may have to remove the cylinder head and have it repaired as well. Another step to verify is to do a compression check on the motor and see if you have compression on all cylinders. No compression after a situation like this can also indicate a broken timing belt. Unlike most v-6 motors the typical 4 cylinder uses a belt instead of a chain and is only really visible after partial disassembly. With the electronic coil pack you can no longer just look at the Distributor to see if it turns.

I had a similar problem. Check your Fuse's or where your fuel pump it may not be getting fuel. Or like mine did the computer or ecu went dead. Take it to a dealer to see if they can figure it out if not, and later on i seriously suggest to buy a new car, Kia Rio's ****, it will break down again.
