What happens if you spray carb cleaner into throttle body when you crank it? Have you drained and replaced the fuel (after that long gas is more like kerosine)

Was there fuel in the tank when parked 6 years ago? If there was, it has gone bad, and you are going to have to drop the tank and flush all the fuel lines, and clean the injectors, replace the fuel filter. I have let a car sit for a year or a bit more, and been able to start it, but after 6 years, the gas turns to varnish, and plugs up everything. You will probably also have issues with the brakes. You will find out as soon as you drive the Jimmy, usually the brakes will drag, and require bleeding of all lines, and usually caliper and brake cylinder rebuild. Good luck.

Replaced bad fuel pump. Still will not start. Only 6 volts at the pump relay. Bypassing the relay indicated pump is working and plenty of pressure. Checked all the fuses all are good. Any ideas?

Year make and model ?
You should have two hot circuits to the relay. One is for the pump and the other is for the coil of the relay. Usually power comes from the key switch.

My 90 accord has issues with something. the car sat awhile and would start, wasnt getting fuel. before it was parked it had intermittent no start problems. the car wast getting any fuel. finally got it to...

If the problem occur after you stop the car and switch-off the engine, it could be the master/main relay. After a few hours, you can restart the engine as usual. Try to replace the relay, it may work well. Happened to me and my friends before.

I have a no start problem ,

if youve replaced all that. your getting a spark, BUT are u getting fuel?. could be your in tank fuel pump has gone out. If your not getting fuel or fuel/air into the fuel injector. you wont start.

Engine cranks, but does not start

My suggestion to this is to check the basics. Check fuel pressure and check spark during crank. There is no quick answer for a no start condition. You always have to start by checking the basics. An engine with no spark or fuel will not start every time.

Test for fuel cut off relay

Sam so right now you have crank no start,or no crank , no start. Not clear.
If its no crank no start.Your looking at battery, cables, ignition switch , starter relay.
If its crank no start, you know that B+ is making it to starter. Ok now listen for fuel pump to buzz or hum when you put key in ignition and turn to on position. No buzzing or humming fuel pump or relay.
make a set of jumper cables run them from battery to fuel pump, Does the pump run? If yes. The pump is good relay is not. If pump doesn't run then its the pump. Remember when you do this test you don't need the key in ignition Battery doesn't have to be connected, because your bypassing the control circuit.

Want to start truck

it would be best to drain fuel out of tank as it has gone bad by now. replace fuel filter, carburetor may have to be rebuilt, are you wanting to just get running? or driving again? start with this may need to put plugs in it
