Have the computer scanned for fault codes. Most autoparts stores will do the scan for free. The problem could be something like a faulty idle air control valve, but getting the codes should tell the tale and narrow down the cause of the problem. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Misfire #7 cyd

Check the #7 spark plug and coil, also the fuel injector, make sure its clean and it's connections are good. An easy way to check the coil is to switch it out with another cylinder or buy one new and see if it makes the difference. The same for the spark plug, if neither one of these items makes the difference look to the injector.

I want to change out the spark plugs in my 2007 lincoln continental. My two questions are, where are they located? I cannot find where they are located on the engine. Also are their spark plug wires for...

You should see a plastic cover down the center that conceals the coils. Each cover gets removed, then the coils can be accessed. And you should always do the wires at the same time as the plugs for sure!

How to replace spark plugs in a 1999 lincoln continental

There are 8 plugs in the V8, 4 on each side. Over each plug is a coil that easily pulls off of each spark plug, hence 8 coils. There are two covers--one over each set of 4 coils and plugs.
The front cover has a metal tag on it that reads, "InTake 32 Valve V8". It has two 10 milometer hex screws holding it on. The back cover is the same shape as the front, but is up closer to the window. You will need just the right socket extension to get the back 4 plugs out. Good luck.
