Check for a blown fuse. They can be found where the battery is or below the steering-wheel rod.

The battery in my 1998 Honda CRV works fine. Had a problem with the key sticking, now the key turns in the ignition but won't catch to start the car. Not sure what to do

Sounds like the ignition switch is worn out(or the linkage from the lock cylinder to the switch has come loose or something like that)

Ignition

the actuator inside the sterring column that the lock cylinder turns is boken, this is a very complex job and is not for the home tech without a factory service manual.

Wont start

You cables going from the solenoid to the starter may be bad, or your starter is just shot. Not to sure without actually being there.

Sounds like you need to have a new ignition switch installed. Copy & paste this link into your browzer: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?displayName=Ignition+Switch&currentPage=1&categoryDisplayName=&navValue=16200189&itemId=189-0&parentId=62-0

Wont start when you turn the key. battery, alternator, and starter are fine. i think it may be the ignition switch but not sure

If the theft light is on try to start then leave key on until light goes approx 10min. If this works it needs an ignition lock cylinder.

Dodge B350 Ignition switch

The lock the ignition key fits in is not the actual start switch. The actual switch is located on the steering column under the dash and is actuated by a metal rod that is pushed when you turn the key. as you turn the key see if you can feel anything moving on the steering column under the dash and then follow it to the switch and see if it is actually activating the start switch.

97 VW Golf Automatic wont start, battery fully charged

MY guess would be that it's the starter, with an automatic transmission, if the car is not in park or neutral, the car wont even attempt to start, so the clicking sound you say you hear rules that out. Now, im not an "expert" or anything just a guy with some general knowlege, so before you do anything i would recommend having it looked at, but if you feel confident enough, the starter is where i would begin, hope this helps, and good luck.

I have a 1991 Honda and the key will not turn in the ignition

you need to replace the ignition switch- most cars run around $25. they are fairly simple to replace.
remove the shroud that covers the steering wheel, turn the key to ACC, using a small flat head screwdriver, press the release button- usually located on the top right side, the switch should pull out with no problem. make sure the new switch is turned to ACC, and slide it in the slot, make sure the new switch works before you reassemble everything.
