If you take the plastic housing off from around the steering wheel, you will see the mechanism that allows the steering wheel to shift up and down. You will need to use a security star point driver. You can get it at your local hardware store. Sometimes all you need to do is clean out the old grease and put new in. CHeck for jammed moving parts.

talk with a service center as many vehicle only allow for an up/down ( tilt) position of the wheel
you may be requiring the wheel to move in or out closer to the driver

My steering wheel is really low to my legs, is there anyway that I can raise it a little bit higher?

check to see if you have an adjustable steering column. If so push down on the lever lift up the steering wheel and pull the lock lever back up to lock it in place. Just look under the das to see the lever.

Look for a locking lever to push down just below or beside the steering column to adjust steering wheel height.

How to troubleshoot loose steering wheel column on my 97 mercedes e320

It appears by you description that the position lock is not clamping up. position the wheel where you want it and look just under the dash for a lever or knob that will tighten up and hold the column in place.

Horn won't blow in my 2001 toyota corolla

CHECK for bad grounding of horn itself, rust and oxidation may not allow it to ground, also try "jumping" a wire from battery to horn, if it blows horn itself is good, contacts inside steering wheel button may be bent flat, or wire bad..

Kia rio steering wheel is locked and won't turn

Okay, I just had this same problem with my 2009 Kia Rio and I did this. So not to down everyone's post on here -- everyone is correct -- by turning the steering wheel back and forth and turning the ignition key at the same time is a correct method. However, after talking to a Kia Serviceman, he told me you have to do it hard -- meaning turning it violently back and forth hard (madman style). In order to do this operation, I had my wife sit in the driver side and turn the key while I was on her left side grabbing the steering wheel and violent moving it back and forth like a madman, and after about 2mins of doing it the key turned over -- problem fixed. Do not worry about breaking anything; turning the steering wheel violently hard is a must -- this was told to me by a Kia service Rep. Remember -- have someone assist you; either turning the key or violently turning the steering wheel back and forth. Hope this works for you!!!!!

If the wrong key was inserted it may have bent a tumbler pin, maybe try some wd-40 or similar and work it with the right key, might drop the tumbler back,,if not the whole ign. cylinder will have to be changed

Lower steering wheel tilt in 2006 G6 GTP

you will not alter the steering angle more that what you have
however you can raise the seat
get a piece of RHS x 1/8" thick ( comes is dimension 1x1", 2x2", 2x1" and 3x1") and by drilling new bolt holes for where the seat runners are , you can raise your seat up to 3"
Any body with mechanical experience can do it for you or get an engineering shop to make the bits for you

There is this pull handle.
It might be locked into place, so you lift it up and pull it out i believe
then you change your steering wheel position then you push the pull handle back in
and push it down to lock it in.
