Look at the fuse panel. There will be more than one fuse panel. Inside the passenger compartment AND inside the engine compartment. I do not know Fords that well, but you want to look for a Fuse marked HEATER or BLOWER.
If that fuse is blown, replace it with one the same size. If it blows again, you have a bad blower motor, a bad resistor or a bad switch.
disconnect the motor, replace the fuse and try it again. If the fuse survives, replace the motor.

SOURCE: Airbag light flashes then stays on in our 2002 Ford Explorer.

Safety Belt pre-tensioner Status (Driver pre-tensioner Circuit Fault).
On the seat belt buckle there is a pre-tensioner that when vehicle is involved in an accident it will deploy and pull the belt tighter.

If the vehicle has never been involved in an accident it could be what we call terminal fretting which is just a build up on the terminals which cause a open circuit. Usually just unplugging and reconnecting the connector a couple of times will fix this.

If this doesn't correct it I would recommend having your local dealer look at it.

Where is heater fuse located on 1998 eddy bower explorer

Either in the engine compartment fuse panel, or on the driver side dashboard left of the steering wheel might have to open the door to get at it.. If the fuse is good then check under the hood on the passenger side fire wall heater for a 6-8 wire plug that attaches to a plate screwed in by 2 screws. this is the defroster / hearer blower- connector.
If you remove this you may find that the wiring has melted. replace the socket, and the defroster module plate. don't mix up the wiring when replacing the plug. ONE WIRE AT A TIME with connector lugs, or solder the wiring together.
the blower wont run if it is bad. Good Luck , Bill

I have a 1995 ford explorer eddie bower the air works but the heater does not what could be the problem

CAN BE ONLY TWO THINGS IF THE HEATER USED TO WORK,YOU CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT OR THE ACTUATOR ON THE HEATER UNIT ASSEMBLY USUALLY ON THE BOTTOM OF THE WHOLE UNIT IN THE MIDLE OF THE FRONT LOWER END OF THE CONSOLE,AND IF YOU ARENT SURE WAS WORKING BEFORE CHECK FOR JUMPED HEATER LINES UNDER THE HOOD BECAUSE WHEN THE HEATER CORE START LEAKING SOME PEOPLES DISABLE THE HEATER TO DONT GET LEAKS INSIDE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IS EXPENSIVE THE LABOR FOR REPLACE THE HEATER CORE IN THIS MODEL(YOU HAVE TO TEAR THE WHOLE DASH BOARD AND GET IT OUT OF THE VEHICLE)

E.E.C. relay causing power draw and killing my battery

My girlfriend has an eddie bauer as well. We had an issue where the blower motor for the heater comes on unexpectedly when the key is out and it's parked. And kills the battery ... in about 3 hours ... We pulled the 30A blower motor fuse under the hood ... I think it was called the ECC fuse Electronic Climate Control ... Go put that fuse back in ... sit in the car the blower for your heat may come on ... Maybe ... ours happened onlt 2x in 6 months, then it has been fine ... there are two possible solutions replace the ECC motor control (under the hood and fairly difficult to get to), or it could be the less likely Dash heat contol panel ... both are costly

Does not blow when heater is on? blower motor

First check fuse panel for burned fuse, if all o.k., Take a look up under passenger side dash, it's usually a common spot. When you find it, locate wires going into it & probe with 12vdc test light for power with key on & fan in run position. If light comes on by probing one of the wires, your fan motor is shot, if nothing at either wire, start back tracking for relay & switch malfunction.
