The door lock,on my suzuki swift 2006,buzz's when i press the key to open doors.do i need to replace the whole lock unit

When pressing the key fob twice so as to unlock all the doors, as soon as you open the drivers door the rear (boot) door opens. If you go round and close it, it just opens again as soon as you get in the car and shut the drivers door. If you only press the fob once to unlock the drivers door then everything is fine. Is this a short somewhere? Thank you :)

Central Locking not working remote makes indicators flash but doors wont lock or unlock. Also the switch in side on door panel

It looks like the system is working but the signal is not getting to the doors. If you know the supplier of the remote control contact them or the agent to check if the system has a relay which (my best bet is there is one) needs replacing, Otherwise trace your wiring backwards from the door actuators to the sender unit to see where your power is being broken.

Suzuki swift central looking not working

This is detective work.first place to check is the master unit which can fail due to clogged filter or water ingress.usually found in side boot panel area.if this checks okay.then you need to check each door panel lock to see if air pressure activates lock.you can do this with a syringe body into tube connector of any door and suck or blow air into the tube system.this will reactivate a stuck lock .usually means one or more door cards has to come off.did this on a merc only one door and it fixed the central lock back to working order.

I would start by reading your owners manual
to see if you got the remote features down correctly

Remote key does not open /close door lock

Hi.
It seems that the remote key need a battery change. replace the batteri inside the remote key.

If this is not curing the problem you might be in the situation where the transmitter (remote key) or the receiver (car) is defect.
In this case you need help from Suzuki.

Good luck

The drivers window of my 2006 suzuki swift has stopped working, all other electrics are ok I'm told the motor need replacing why would this fail the car has only done 13000 miles

Hi most likely it has not failed with them miles on the car.

Take the inner door trim off and have a look around the motor ensure the plug is connected correctly to the motor, and that no wires are contacting the car body.

Also where the door opens and closes the door jam has wires running from the door to the inside of the car door look and check they have not been damaged.

Finally the electric window switch could be at fault pop it out and turn it over make sure all wires are correct and fitted right.

Dan

Buzzing noise on door when it wont open

Hey, this is usualy caused by a plastic gear stripping in the lock assembly, its difficult to repair this and in most cases is more cost effective to replace the lock assembly, removing the door trim can be a pain because you cant get the door open but you can do it especally if you have small hands!
