Have replaced computer twice that both burned out in very short time apart and now having it checked I need to replace another computer what could be causing my computer system to burn out so quickly

ill start with....... any time youmpost an automotive question you need to let us know the year make model and engine size!

the computer controls and monitors many different things. there has to be something that the computer is looking at or controlling that is failing. Tat part that is failing is being overlooked. When the computer fails what is not working? That is what you need to figure out. Once that is figured out the part tat is not working can be repaired and then, and only then, can the computer can be replaced with the confidence of a proper repair.

computers generally do not fail. its the components that are tied top the computer that fail that cause the computer to then fail.

The computer says the immobilizer coil is open/short

Did you reset the computer. Usually disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes should do it. If this does not fix it, you need to recheck your work. Something you did has caused the message. Did you short circut a wire, burn a fuse, forget to reconnect something? The immobilizer probably works by immobilization of the vehicle's coil circut. Thus, causing the computer message to display about the coil issue. Try reset computer of vehicle should work.

Can I add an instrument cluster to a 2005 nissan altima with a trip computer on it to one that does not have a trip computer and make it work?

That would involve reprogramming the body control module or PCM with the proper software. Doubtful a dealer would do it

How can i get the 2 other cylinders working ? do i need a new computer ? the ground cable was loose and sparked a bit reconeccted but now 2 cylinders won't work so now i took out the car computer

Try swapping the coils on the plugs to see if this restores spark to those cylinders. If it does, then just replace the coils which aren't sparking.
If it doesn't work, then yes, you may have a ECU issue.

The speed cluster work from the ABS speed sensors that have separate computer it is on engine compartment near battery and brake booster. This computer work independent and only get 12v and can bus send all the info by a can bus 2 wires that run to dodge ECM same wires run to cluster. I make a diesel swap speed work ok but not my RPM any ideas

I wanted to know the purpose for a computer on a 2002 jeep liberty also about how much does it cost to replace it ? is it ok to drive the jeep without the computer working ?

Which one? There are at least 3 computers and maybe more.
There is one for the ignition because the spark has to advance or ****** with speed, fuel quality, and knock. There is one for the fuel injection, that has to respond to the feedback like from the O2 sensor.
There is also usually a computer in the climate control.
There could also be one in the lock/security system.
And automatic transmission usually has a computer these days as well.
If it can run, then either the computer is not essential or it is working.
It will not run without the ignition, security, or fuel computer working.
But it will run without the climate control computer working.

Have you checked the fuse for them? The location should be in your owner's manual.
