Question about 2002 Audi A4

Jerky set off

I have an audi A4 1.9 TDI (2004) which I have just bought.  Sometimes on setting off it is very jerky.  I have no idea if this is normal or something I should do something about.  It is still under warranty

Not normal , if its a manual , the flywheel probably needs machining

My 2004 Audi A6 tdi can only get up to 2nd gear in auto or tiptronic. Auto gearbox garage said it is the engine - VW/Audi garage said engine is ok. No fault codes or dash warnings. was on the motorway...

Is it not shifting into third gear (meaning you're at redline and the car won't shift), or is there not enough power to get the car going fast enough to warrant going into third gear? Have you checked to see if the car is in limp mode?

My service engine light came on yesterday. When I press the gas it is hesitating and jerky. What could it be?

given the fact that your vehicle is coming up to 9 years old. here are a few ideas of what the cause could be for the hesitating and jerky performance. #1 dirty injector or injectors, #2 malfunctioning sensor of some sort. nowadays everything is controlled by a sensor. go to your mechanic and put the car on a scope. that will check all sensors and electronic devices that control the performance of your car. hope this helps you, or at least points u in the right direction for a resolution

Audi a4 fuel gauge stuck on passed max

not sure about the model but usually the gas tank or fuel filter has a float on it that is probably ur problem u would have to drop the tank to find out lot of trouble for a little fix or it could be the gauge itself like a bad connection

Repair a4 audi 2004, mass air flow sensor, catalitic converter, car stalls when accelerate.

hi this might not be the MAF but the MAP sensor as this is the thing that normally gives you this sort of fault, the MAF adjusts the air and fuel mix but the MAP adjusts the air and fuel mix and also the timing via the ECM , normally if it is the MAF it will just idle rough and still run as normal, but jerky and bogs down but does not stall, so if anything i would opt for the MAP sensor first before the MAF...hope this helps
