I have an 05 Hyundai Tiburon GT and the top side mirror housing is loose, but the whole housing is attatched to the door of my car. How can I tighten the top housing that holds the mirror?

Each Tiburon has an interior triangle cover (some with tweeter speakers in them), They are easily popped of using a small screw driver so you can access/see the three 10mm nuts holding the outside mirror to the door. When you inspect the fasteners (10mm nuts), check to see if each is tight (not loose). You may find that the one at the top could be broken.... the only solution then is replace the mirror (it'll probably have to be painted if you do replace it).

Use a small pry bar and pry up on the outside edge of the mirror to dislodge it from the center hub. Be careful not to lift up the mirror too high or the drive pins may unseat from the mirror motor pack.

Use a small pry bar and dislodge the heads of the bottom and inside pins from the back of the mirror.

set the factory mirror on a clean flat surface. Use a small pry bar and remove both friction pins from the back of the factory mirror.

Use the closed end of a 10mm box wrench and seat the friction pins in the top and outside holes on the back of the new mirror.

Also I suggest review this reference guide

Sideview mirrors dont move certain ways.

I researched the maintenance manual. The fuse you need to replace is fuse 20 in the under dash fuse box. It controls side windows, washer motor, rear view dim function, and possible seat memory. There are a couple that link to the mirrors, but this is the one for this problem.

check behind the mirror glass there are little plastic rods that are easily broken when mirror gets hit or moved manually. mirror should pop out when pulled carefully by one of corners. be careful not to put to much pressure on the glass when pulling outward

Replace side view mirror on Dodge Caravan

You will need to remove the triangular panel on the inside of the door on the opposite side of the broken mirror. Once you remove the panel, you will see the retaining bolts holding the mirror in place. Once you remove the bolts, the mirror can then be pulled out from the outside. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the new mirror.
