The '05 Mazda 3 has a 10mm bolt on the passenger side that you have to pull the glove box to get to. Next, you have to remove the shifter cover and ashtray. There are 2 screws under the temperature controls that you have to remove, then you should be able to pop the radio out through the sides.

Mazda 6 - Wont start, just clicking noise when key is turned. Battery seems dead, but radio etc came on??

radio don't use as much voltages (AMPS) as the starter motor. remove battery and charge up. remember radio is coded so you will need to put the code in after. negative lead first off the battery.also have ignition turned to number 2 then turn off and you have 30 seconds to remove the battery. if not battery starter motor solenoid has failed and a new motor is needed. check battery first.

How do I remove the factory cd/radio from 2001 mazda tribute? the 4 holes supposed to be there for removing the stereo are not there.

There are two 3/8 inch wide black trim pieces on either side of the radio - look at the sides of the radio and you'll see them. Carefully pry them off and you will see the holes.

How to remove radio from 2002 mazda tribute

Hi:
You need a pair of U shaped unlocking tools. They are available at stereo installer stores, or even best buy, I fabricated a set out of a coat hanger! You pop the bezel off around the radio, and the release tools get inserted on the left and right sides of the radio deck
