Could use some more info...Can you hear the fan turn on? Could be the fan relay which is found behind the passenger side headlight housing, about a $30 fix if you do it yourself...$150-$200+ if you take it to a shop. When your engine is hot, feel the upper radiator hose (carefully) if it is cool your thermostat is stuck closed. Again an inexpensive part $10 or less if you do it yourself and much easier to get to than the fan relay. Good luck. RH

My jeep cherokee 1999 is running at just under 100 degress c when the air con is on and around 85 when it is not, Is this too hot?

That certainly is quite a jump, and it leads me to wonder about the condensor unit. It sits in front of the radiator. Make absolutely sure that the fan is running when the A/C engages, and run a gentle stream of water through the A/C condensor to clean out any road debris (Bugs, leaves, etc, etc) from the condensor.

Jeep Grand Cherokee running hot. I've changed the

Check your radiator for external and internal obstructions (leaves, bugs etc on the a/c condenser or leaves between the condenser and radiator, rust or calcium deposits inside the radiator core all cause loss of heat transfer)
Also make sure that the system is full and that the electric fan and the clutch fan are operating properly. (electric fan should come on just above normal operating temp and clutch fan should not be "freewheeling" above temp either)
Note: If you need to have the radiator flushed, do it separately from the engine. especially the inline 6 and 4 engines rust up inside and if the system is flushed with the radiator connected, the debris will pack up inside it and actually can worsen the condition.

The blinkers and wipers and radio dont work unless the key is turned backwards, if the jeep is running none of these work, this is a 1999 jeep wrangler tj

sounds like the accessory side of the ignition switch is not working. When the key is on run position the same wire that is hot coming out when the key is turned to accessory should be hot, along with the ignition wire that runs the engine. (hot meaning it has 12v)
