I need a diagram of a 94 chevy 4x4 rear brake shoes

The best diagram you can get is on the other side of your vehicle. Take only one side apart at a time. You can then look at the other side to make sure it is assembled correctly. (It will just be a mirror image)

Changed the rear Brakes in my 1992 Ford F-150 2 wheel drive Pickup. On the passenger side rear with the adjuster all the way in, the drum was still difficult to put back on. Put it on anyway and went for a...

Pull both drums and VERY CAREFULLY compare the left and right side, check all the hardware and return springs, position of the shoes, etc. (You know that the left and right are mirror images of each other, as you look at each assembly, think "front vs. rear" not "right vs. left"
Are the shoes pulled tight against the adjuster and the top post? Check to see that the shoes are resting on the backing plates at the correct points, especially near the bottom.
Make sure the shoes are the correct size and have the same mounting points as the old shoes.

Something is wrong. While you may not feel it sticking or grabbing, the excessive heat will cause trouble, including possibly causing the outer wheel bearing to fail.

You must get this fixed, if you cannot resolve the problem, take it to someone who can. Do not ignore this and hope it will correct itself. It won't.

Brake shoes

Hi, not sure if you will be able to get a diagram or not. If you are looking to do your brakes yourself, you can block up one side of the car and pull the brake drum off. Once the drum is off, you will be able to see all of the parts and how they go together. Then jack up the other side and replace the brake shoes. Use the blocked up side with drum removed as a reference when putting the other side back together, then switch sides. This is how I have done it before and it works really well...maybe better than a diagram.

Did you by chance mix up the shoes, adjuster etc? Short shoe (primary) will be closest to front of vehicle.(right side of backing plate.) Larger shoe to rear. Seen them put on backwards many times when changing from one side to the other. If you only took picture of drivers side, and your using that for reference, adjuster, shoes etc, will be wrong when you go to opposite side of truck. What year is this truck?

Wheel is locking up

Your brake drum is over adjusted or you have brake hardware issues Try removing the drum and insure that all is in place also look at the shoes and make sure that the shoes are not on backwards....How ever this lockup could also be caused by an under adjusted brake.... When you remove the drum you will definetly know if overadjusted because you will have to loosen the adjustment star to remove it...As stated before the brake shoes if installed correctly should be smaller shoe (primary) towards the front of vehicle and larger shoe (secondary) towards the rear of vehicle.....Good Luck and let me know if this helped or if i can be of further assistance...Please rate my answer as this helps with future diagnosis...Thank You
