I bought this truck with a faulty alarm system. The door locks worked before but after the process of removing it now the locks dont work. Its been 3 years since I tried figuring it out again. I am in need of some very helpful assistance. Thanks

I presume if you tried to start the vehicle it would start and drive as normal, just with the alarm going off... If this is the case then depending on make/model etc. the problem is electrical in the alarm system. The alarm is activated by the button, but not with the key in the door. Get the button to work and the alarm will de-activate. This maybe simple, i.e.. 1st checks...battery in fob , or bad connection in fob. Car Battery voltage.. is it 12v.
2nd check faulty receiver/ bad connection somewhere in system. To check correctly you will need to know locations of alarm/remote locking components. Basically find and test fuses (probably won't be faulty with your symptoms but check nevertheless,) then find receiver, and visual check connections in circuit, (bad earths are the most common failing in remote locking). If not working by this point you may want to stop and seek help.
Otherwise you will need a wiring diagram and have some basic voltage drop testing skills to identify problem. Thus you will need to test switching circuit in the remote locking/alarm circuit. Positive side...is the voltage is .5v or more then wiring fault on this side ...negative side test the same way.. Even with wiring problems, receiver may also be faulty as it would probably still work with volt drop of up to about 2v total, . If total volt drop in under 1v then somewhere in the receiver (the switch) there is a problem. If you are on here asking, you probably won't be able to find problem in receiver and that is where you would need an expert.
A couple of thing to check. Make sure you are hooking up to the green wire and not a green wire with a small different color in it. 2, Is the door lock power actuator working other than the alarm not controlling it? Is the new alarm system working properly?? The alarm system should have a help line phone number you can call for installation help.
i had a similer problem with an alarm system i had wouldent always lock unless i did it manually it had some thing to do with the timer on the alarm needed making longer so when the doors locked it made the motors on the door system take longer to fully close hard to explain if its not this it may be a faulty lock motor
If the headlights are flashing, the alarm system is factory installed. Inserting the key into the driver door lock and turning to the left then back to the right is supposed to disarm it. If the parking lights are blinking,, the alarm is an aftermarket add on, and there should be a disarm button underthe dash on the driver side. If it' an aftermarket alarm, you should be able to have it removed. There is a way to bypass the factory alarm. There is a wiring harness in the driver's door. You will have to remove the door panel to find it. The wire is dark green and purple. Splice into that wire and ground it to the chassis and the alarm should no longer work.
sounds like you still have a wire harness problem for the oil pressure sending unit. if you spliced a new pigtail to the wire harness you may still have a bad connection or there is still a damaged wire farther up in the harness.
Man,I just bought a 96 chrysler lhs(salvage title) and we drove it home...Had no keypad. My girl and I got out and she left her purse...I opened the door and that car started honking and everything...Alarm wouldnt cut off so,What i did was go to the driver's door,Put the DRIVING KEY IN THE LOCK and locked and unlocked the door...Then,the alarm went off.Try that and if it doesnt work...Try to use those buttons.
