Depends on what needs to be replaced? Does it blow any cold air at all or does it not work at all?

Most of the time anymore it is very expensive to work on air conditioners and you have to have pretty good knowledge of air conditioners. We do about 12 or more air conditioners a month and sometimes it is simple an sometimes it is major. It costs anywhere between 60 to 100 most of the time just for them to check it out to see what is wrong. You might take it to a private mechanic and he might charge you less but you have to have all the tools to work on it. If it needs just charged it will probably be around $150.00 or so.

It depends on what has been done to it. If it just needs a refill you can buy one at a parts store for around $30 and fill it yourself.

Probably have bad hood struts/shocks that hold it up. These can be obtained at the usual discount parts stores(Kragen,Autozone, Checker, etc) Usually just pop off on one end of a ball mount and unbolt the other after you have propped up hood. These shocks go bad from time or fluid leaks.

you need to change the throttle position sensor. This is not a transmission slip so to speak but a flux in the throttle body. the part is easy to fix and on a V8 lies
right behind the resinator behind the throttle body. I had the same issue with my 02 GCL. Part costs 40 bucks

look for Main A/C relay, look for fuses, or go to a/c shop and have gas check out, perhaps leaks, perhaps evaporator, perhaps condenser, but start for relay box on front passengers side, or fuses on same side
