Question about 2005 Ford F-150
For the last couple months my 2005 f150 5.4L v8 will have the limp home mode light come on and stutter as i am driving down the road. as i press the gas the stuttering gets worse. i had the codes read and was told it was an electrical short in the wiring harness to the throttle positioning sensor. had the harness read out and everything checked fine. is there anything else i can check?
Check the actual ohm readings for tps sensor to manufacturer specs. Sounds like the tps sensor is out of range. Sometimes the o2 sensor gives a false reading to the ecm which causes the tps malfunction. Doubt seriously if it electrical short. Bad ground maybe.
