If you need instructions in how to remove and replace the water pump, then go to the autozone website at autozone.com and register your vehicle. It doesn't cost anything and you will have access to an online repair manual for your car. The procedures for the water pump work should be found there. Hope this helped and best wishes.

When i start my car. i hear a howling sound. open my hood. sound like its coming from my belt. is it time to change.

A howling sound could be more like a water pump or a/c compressor bearing.Power steering and alternator will make more of a whine type noise. You should take into a repair shop and have it looked at.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Rear end starting to howl what can i do the try to quiet her down

check the oil level in the differential and check the condition of the oil.if it looks silvery then you have bearings that need to be replaced which means it will have to be dissassembled and the bearings replaced.

1995 Ford Ranger whines. Three mech's, fuel pump, carrier bearings, wheel bearings. Who is closest?

You need to post the symptoms of your problem. And let us tell you what we think. But for what its worth here I go. Electric fuel pumps howl or moan. Carrier bearings on make noise when vehicle is moving down the road and make a squalling noise when the bearing is going bad but may be interpreted as a whine. Wheel bearings near the same as carrier bearings but they usually grind. So my guess is alternator or pulley bearing since they whine.

My car has a howl when its iddeling and it sounded like the powersteering pump so we replaced that but its still howling, what could it be now that it was replaced?

You might have a bad front bearing in the alternator. Or a bad water pump. I would take of the 1 belt at a time and start the car to see if the noise is still there.

Have a 2004 impala with howling noise from the front?

Here are a couple of things to check for. When driving turn car left and the right to see if noise gets louder then quieter. If so you will need a bearing hub. Also check power steering fluid in pump, if low you will get a howling noise. Looking for a noise is difficult task from a computer. Hope this gives you a starting point.

Water pump is howling

The bearings are probably going out or needs a new pulley, either way you should replace the pump.

Howling noise from rear when in motion

Constant howl....usually wheel bearing.
Howl on acceleration.......usually rear pinion bearing (the bigger of the two on the pinion) in the diff (rear axle)
Howl on de-acceleration....the front (smaller) pinion bearing in the diff.(rear axle)

Howl rear right wheel

As a matter of fact the diff can make noise on and off the gas, my own car a 1996 Corvette does this, it needs the ring and pinion replaced, is this what you are talking about when you say they told you that you needed a whole new differential?
