Because your fan or relay or your temperature censor could be bad find the coolant temp sensor disconnect it and put a jumper wire on the connector to joint both wires and you should hear the relay click when the wires are crosed and if the fan is good it should come o n imediately after hooking up the jumper wire so if it does than replace the temp sensor

As long as the store isn't 20 miles of stop and go traffic. You should be fine to drive if you keep a decent speed that will allow air flow. Yes, I am a man......

Hell is hot and my car is too.........

If your bottom hose is ice cold, or room temp after the engine has already warmed up, the radiator is plugged. BOTTOM LINE. you may have to replace radiator. or uplug it ! your t-stat should be just fine. unless you think its full of ****.

Fan dont work but when i turn on cooling system two fan work please give me lay out for cut-off and fuse

If you have two electric fans the fan on the passenger side of the vehicle is the radiator cooling fan, that fan should run when the motor gets to hot. The fan on the driver side is the ac condenser fan that fan runs only when the a/c is turned on. The only time that both fans run is if the a/c is on and the motor or coolant is above normal tempeture.

My fan isn't blowing in my 98 lincoln mark viii. fuse or something more?

Radiator fan or AC blower motor? The blower motor will have a fuse and a relay. The radiator fan is controled by the Variable Relay Control Module and temp sensor.... the module is located behind the grill---hope this helps.

2004 vw jetta is over heating. already checked thermostat and sensors. any suggestions? 2.0 engine

Is the fan kicking on? Radiator fan! When engine gets hot, radiator fan should kick on under the hood.
If it does, then there is a blockage in the radiator preventing it from circulating the coolant to dump the heat. Get a Rad flush.

If the fan does not kick on, then check the fan fuse and relays, usually found in an electrical distribution box under the hood. Consult your owners manual for its location and specific fuses / relays.
Possible bad fan too.. but disconnect the fan at the plug in the wiring, and test supply wire for voltage, when engine is above normal temperture.

Engine is overheating and then cooling down and then over heating again, also, the heater is not putting out any heat??

the 1st thing i would have checked is the thermostat, and the radiator hoses, if these check out ok, then , i would check to make sure that the electric fan is kicking on in order to cool the engine down, if it isn't kicking on, then i would check the fan relays , located under the hood, on the drivers side, inside of a plastic box, inside of the cover to the box, is a diagrahm, showing you what each fuse and relay are for.

Radiator Fan dont kick on

The fan will kick in when the temp reaches 90 degrees celcius. It could also be a bad fan or a bad fan relay

Radiator fan not working

On some car, like in my renault, there is an additional fuse box near the engine.
Buy the complete Haynes manual for your car, it will show diagrams and picture of all parts, and eventually tell you which fuses and parts are involved in the radiator fan wiring.
Once you have the diagram you follow the circuit leading to fan and find the fault, it shouldn't be complicate.
