It would be in the option codes on the build tag if it is still there it would be in the glove box. It is really up to you what type of ride you would like. The struts will be the same physically it is what is inside the cylinders that will change the ride between the 2

Hi, will the suspension, brakes, shockers and struts from my 1989 ford EA sedan fit my 1990 XF falcon ute?

i dont think so bro, ive got an xf ute and im certain ea's run a strut type suspension and the utes have non struts. if your keen tho look at pps (ppr one of them, google it) strut conversions, expensive but worth it if its gonna be a flash ute.

My 2001 Dodge Stratus uses struts only instead of shocks. I recently had struts and stabilizer bars installed on the rear of my car. My question is why do I still get the same results when driving, like...

If the struts are new the springs may need to be replaced. These struts should have a spring around them then there is the leaf spring that could be the issue. You could try using spring stiffiners to tighten the suspension up but I would discuss this with my mechanic first. it really sounds like they replaced the struts with a standard strut assembly and what you wanted was the sport suspension strut.

2006 Toyota 4runner sport 4.0L V6 2wd bottoms out too easy on front.

Hummmmmm........ either:

(1) Your front struts are worn out or leaking; or,

(2) Your driving style is too aggressive or loads too heavy for your stock suspension to handle.

Jack the front of the car up and remove each front wheel. Look at the strut body to see if there are any signs of leaking fluid or if anything is broken or otherwise amiss. If the struts are leaking, then I suggest you replace with something other than standard replacement Monroe shocks (either Blistiens or Ranchos). If the struts are not leaking, then maybe your driving style is too aggressive for the stock suspension. If this is the case, then upgrade as necessary or change your driving style. Front suspension upgrade would start at $700 and go up from there depending upon the modifications.

I got a 95 infiniti q45 and suspension not working advice me please, my son was bor on 9/11/10 and need suspension bad

You have to describe what type of suspension system your particular car has. The Q45 came with hydraulic cylinders and regular strut suspensions. What exactly is not working on your suspension?

1989 cadilac fleetwood air pump is noisey can I bypass it the vehicle is not worth putting this kind of money into a new one and i only need vehicle for another 6 months

the air pump is designed to pump cold air into the exhaust system for the first few minutes to heat up the exhaust gas so it can burn the raw fuel in the exhaust. after that it only free wheeling. by pass it you will pollute the air more but it does not affect the drivabillity.

Changing rear suspention

the strut/spring is one assembly that comes out as one unit.
The 1989 XJ6s'(USA) had self leveling hydraulic suspension. Is your
new strut correct or has your car been retrofitted to conventional shocks?

Hi my front offside suspention spring has cracked an i need too know how to remove it thanx . its for a renault 19 16v 1995 model

I have a renault 19 with the same problem on the passenger side front. It is a straight forward job, you will need two jacks, preferably trolley jacks. It would be alot easier (and cheaper) to completely replace the suspension strut itself rather than squeezing a new spring in. Jack up the car then jack the suspension to a point it will hold suspension in place whilst you undo the bolts etc. Once bolts are undone, SLOWLY release the jack on the actual suspension strut and remove the strut. To replace the strut, put new strut in place jack it up into place carefully so you get it to stay in place. Do up all your bolts, Slowly release jack on suspension strut, then release the other jack holding up the car. I would do this with my car, but i cant be bothered as it has numerous other problems and im scrapping it.
