SOURCE: Blend door not working.

The bleed door controls air temp not where it comes out, dash, floor, defroster, this is most likely a mode control switch problem, that switch is on the ac control head.

on climate control press off and heat button and let go quickly. Then press automatic. The display will start rotating eventually displaying a code 025,125 , 024 etc. Then press defrost to stop. You may hear blend door operating atb that time. It worked for my climate control.

Why does 2010 ford fusion blend door keep faulting?

that is real easy , but the tests take skill sets.
  1. the drive motor is bad, (actuator )
  2. the wrong actuator used or installed wrong.
  3. the controller to it is bad.
  4. the blend door is jammed. (we turn it by hand to learn that)
stuck in heat mode, blocking AC. cool. sure.
a very common problem
some after marked actuators are junk, is common.
scan the OBD2 port for HVAC errors yet?
check all fuses first?

Try motorcraft or SMP brands, on this car. SMP is what I use.

a JURYRIG:
now one skill lots of DIY guys do even all hot summer
they remove the blend door actuator and then hand spin it
to full closed ,casing max COOL to happen and does.
then keep it there somehow, if will not stay there until winter.
I call it the hillbilly fix. (with love )
motor craft says
(get door A closed) receirc
get B , bend set to block heater core
get C mode as you want, dash/vent/floor.
B can be forced on some cars easy,
the bend door has axle shaft and and adaptor cupling on some
that make it easy to hand turn the axle and to even bailing wire hold it if need be..
or dig my hack #2
take the old actuator and rip it all apart and jam it to cold.
then put it back in, with cold max, HACKED.
and last hint #1
some AC the Actuator must relearned. as the service manual so directs.

Where is the blend door for the heater/A/C for a 1998 Toyota Tacoma 6V

Not sure if this will help.
I have changed a couple blend door actuators, my newer cars were controlled electrical. My Safari was controlled with vacuum line. I could not find where yours is for sure but all that I have changed were behind the glove box and there were two actuators (one on left and the other to the right of the glove box) one was blend door. the last one I changed was a Chrysler 200 it was behind the glove box on the right. The video below FORD is behind glove and to the left side.

2002 Cougar plug to the actuator isnt moving the new actuator. I still have no hot air. It isn't a fuse what else could it be. Fluid level is good. Not the heater core or the thermostat.

Could be the blend door is not opening/uncovering the heater core to let the heat in. Most likely is the problem. You need to be sure that actuator motor is working to open the main blend door. It's vacuum actuated so be sure your getting vacuum to all the connections and lines from the engine to the actuators.

1999 ford expedition , runs good doesn't overheat , but puts out no heat ?

First check your coolant level. If the coolant system is full, then it is probably the passage doors inside the heater/AC case not operating properly. A door or its actuator has a malfunction. Most actuators are vacuum controls, although some are electric motor operated. Turn Heater on and set temp. control on high-this should cause the actuators to respond by opening some inner doors. So when you turn the blower on, air is forced across the heater core (the little coolant filled "radiator" in the case), and warm air comes out the vents. Watch or listen for the actuators to respond when you use the heater controls. There may be several actuators on the heater case, situated all around, but they are on the outside of the case, right near the inner door they operate.

Ac and heater

I believe that on the climate controled cars, the heater core always has a supply of coolant, instead the car uses a blend door to keep air (A/C or heater depending on the setting you choose) from passing into the passenger compartment. If you have a problem, you should check to make sure that blend door is operating.
