Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
1998 Dodge Ram 4x4 (1500) 318 Engine. What is the torque on the front axle hub nut ? Also on the same truck the A/C looses its vaccuum when you accelerate then returns when you level out your speed
Ram 1500 Pickup ...... 175 foot lbs. Then tighten until the cotter pin can be inserted. I had the same problem. I had to replace the inline check valves and I also had a bad hose. The check valves are not expensive.

Tips for a great answer:
Tighten the spindle nut to 149 ft-lbs to seat the bearing then
. rotate the axle 5 to 10 times to seat the hub bearing, then
tighten the spindle nut to a final torque of 263 ft-lbs I would just use a good impact gun to get it there.
