Question about 2001 Hyundai Elantra
I have a 2001 elantra automatic. From a cold start car is hesitant asif gas no getting thru and will surge forward when gas finally gets thru. After first start no problem. would this be a fuel injection issue. Also from a cold start when reverse first and then put into drive i have no problem. any suggestions
Without knowing what the fuel pressure is, no one can say for sure. You'll need to check that. If you find there is a fuel pressure issue, you'll need to isolate the cause (wiring, connectors, pump relay or the pump itself). You will also want to inspect/examine the intake air hose, filter & vacuum lines to eliminate those things as possible causes. Additionally, you might simply have a throttle position sensor which is malfunctioning/going bad. You'll also want to scan your OBDII for any trouble codes which may have been set and which could help narrow down your search for the cause.
