Good luck on that ! Sorry but you can't just disconnect the anti-theft system . It's software programmed into more then one control module on the vehicle . Theft module , PCM - engine computer , BCM - body control module etc... if these modules do not see a correct input from the transponder it will not let the car start . The dealer is the place to take it .

I have a 2004 Kia Optima EX V6. You have to get a new battery for your key fob(s) and take to dealer to program it. It can only be programmed when they hook it up to the computer. Cost around 40 bucks from Kia. Call around some use to charge only 10 bucks. Good luck.
