I have put a new engine in my Hardbody 3l Diesel and my diesel pump doesnt seem to pump diesel into the engine, could this be because the pump needs replacing?

It could be, but if you haven't replaced the fuel filter for awhile, I'd start there, remember to fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel before installing, it will make the engine far easier to start. Good luck.

VW Touran very strong diesel smell

Normal a dripping injector makes a knocking noise when you first start up. To me it sounds like a leek. Try looking at the pipes any were above the exhaust or turbo. For the smell to come in to the car the leek will probably be at the front. I'm only guessing here. But I had the same thing on my range rover and it was a joint in the fule pipe spraying on to the block..Good luck

Power steering fluid leeking beneath steering. how do i fix?

Either the shaft seal on the pump has failed or the fluid reservoir is cracked; the latter seems common on Chrysler products.
If you decide to DIY, you may notice when shopping the pump that the reservoir is sold separately by mos vendors.

Accidentally put diesel in gas tank on 2009 Chevy Silverado

You will have to remove the tank to properly remove all the diesel and rinse it out well.

Fuel pump noise smell gas while car is running 92 mustang

the pump should stop when it builds up to the correct pressure. if it continues to pump and you smell fuel then you probably have a fuel leek. normally fuel consumption will increase with a leek, even slightly.

Turns over but won't start

I'll tell ya what a diesel mechanic told me..."fuel injector pump". It seems that the new low sulfur diesel being sold now wears the seals out on the older pumps. I changed the fuel sending unit and that seemed to help a little, but now while driving it will shut down, and it's hard to start. Going to have the job done now. Part is very expensive! Hope this helps.

Vw passat tdi 2001 4dr

You should have a servo pump to help the pressure on diesel models. If the pump fails, then the brakes feel soft as though there is no pressure there. The other fault is, that a wheel cylinder or some other brake componant is leeking fluid. Cheek for fluid leeks and if there are none get the pump checked out.
