Question about 2005 Ford F 350 Super Duty

1 Answer

2005 Ford F250 Diesal Pickup, 6.0 liter I drove the Truck into the shop and it was running fine.I changed the oil cooler because of oil in the cooling system. I put everthing back together started the truck. It ran for about 15 minutes and died. The truck has fuel,it has fuel pressure to the filter and to the cyl. head connection. No fuel getting to the Engine through the injectors. Any ideas, Thanks

The primary pump is defective, it has a check valve that is bad so replace the pump it costs $0.00 compared tothe pressure pump thats $900.00 and it will be damaged if let run dry.

well the question is where did the coolant go. if it didnt leak out it must have went out the pipe. As you stated, white smoke, white smoke is coolant. You definately need to get this to the shop. You cannot drive it this way or further damage will occur.

Trying to find out how much oil the Triton V-10 takes when I do my oil change? I cant seem to find it or anyone who knows

It should be listed in the owners manual, but because of different oil cooler setups you may have to do the change yourself and add oil until the correct level is established..... for the first oil change.
Most likely 7 liters, but start with 5,run the engine to fill the oil filter, let it sit for 5 mins and recheck and fill to full.
Note the amount needed for next time.

2004 f250 6.0 diesel engine oil cooler

U can do this, use a B&M brand cooler, use a kit for your truck if availiable get one with screw in hose fittings, never use hose clamps on an oil cooler if u can avoid it, if u choose to use clamps check them and tighten them as ness at every oil change. try the link below for a cooler.

7.3 liter diesal won't start.

if it is common rail injection sounds like an injector failiure. If you can tow it in gear and it starts, it's overfuelling.
