Wheres the dipstick on a nissan largo 2.0td 1995 and how do i get to it

Stand at the front of the vehicle and look on the right side of the engine, near the front. Next to the alternator - on the engine block- you'll see the dipstick tube.

The dipstick itself will probably have a yellow handle/grip

What is the yellow handle dipstick in a 1997 suzuki swift please/

It should be oil....but it is easy to figure out what it may be by its color.obviously fresh oil is amber to brown...dirty oil is almost black.
transmission fluid in automatics should be a shade of red. Clutch and brake fluid light yellow.

Checking the transmission fluid level...how to

If it's an automatic transmission, then it's best to check when the transmission is fully warmed up to operating temp. then while the engine is idling in PARK, pull the dipstick out and wipe off. Re-insert and pull out again. read the level as where ever the fluid stops making the dipstick wet. The transmission dipstick should be on the same side as the engine oil dipstick but further back. Some makes have "engine oil" and "trans" stamped on the dipstick handle.

I can't find my dipstick in my ford 1995 mustang

Here are some places to check, as it varies on year, engine type, and they made a lot of changes over the years on these.

First would be the oil fill tube. That is a good place to start. If not there, check along front of the engine or the right and left sides towards the rear of the engine. The dipstick should be marked with a yellow handle. Red is transmission.

Let me know,

Chip

No reverse engages but has no torque. drive 1, 2 are good

The reverse in your transmission is most likely burnt out . Check your transmisison fluid by pulling out the dipstick (closets to the firewall), if the fluid is not red (but back or dark color) and smiells burnt that is the indication of burnt transmission.

Check transmission fluid in 2oo5 nissan pathfinder

To check the transmission fluid, the dipstick is on the passenger side of the engine and is locked down by a 10 mm bolt. The transmission takes Matic S fluid. Matic J that is on your dipstick has been discontinued and Matic S is the fluid to use.

Thanks Jay!

Location of dipstcks identify which one is which.

Hot and Cold is your transmission dipstick. High and Low is your oil dipstick. It is normal for oil to be dark after a couple hundred miles once the oil has been changed.
