It also might be the Neutral switch. Turn ignition half way, shift into "N" and try to start. It's a very common problem.

Well, for one, as soon as you enter the female into the equation, that really complicates things.
But seriously, I would check battery post cleanliness, check the voltage on the battery gauge inside (should be higher or at 12V) you might need a new battery. Or look for the positive cable on the battery and follow it down to the starter, look for any worn spots on it, or maybe the end connector is loose or off. Good luck. Always start with the simplest things first in any problem.

Don't panic yet!!! check battery terminals and clean both contact surfaces. check power at the small trigger wire nest to the main battery lead on the starter with key turned to start and check battery for 12v. make sure block ground (engine end of neg cable) is clean and tight. after checking this stuff you likely won't need me again, but if there are any problems, I'm here!!

You need to do an OBD2 engine control module fault code test to see if the fault is recorded in the memory of the computer control module. Autozone and others do this testing for free.

This sounds more like a crankshaft position sensor. When they start going bad they will work when vehicle relatively cold but fail when hot.

Change your fuel filter, it may have gone it's life time and is getting to dirty to let fuel flow properly. Your fuel pump to may be getting weak, if the fuel filter is dirty the pump works harder and heats up and could be over heating the fuel pump relay too. The fuel pump relay i believe is in the glove box behind a panel that say relay, there should be (3) in there and the middle one is the fuel pump's. switch then around after you change the fuel filter and if you get a chance, check your fuel pressure at the shredder valve. Good luck and hope this help's if there is a Auto Zone around you, you can ask to use the fuel pressure gauge to see what fuel pressure you have and they'll have the step by step instructions on how to do it and takes about 5 min to do and will have the fuel filter and step by step to replace that too. Keep me posted, be glad to help.
